NORTH KOREA: Urged to Halt Nuclear Developments

On 1 October, South Korean president, Park Geun-hye, urged North Korea to halt missile and nuclear development programs. She believed these programs would isolate North Korea even more and cause their economic development to slow. North Korea countered with threatening to cancel the temporary reunions of families torn apart by the Korean War that were scheduled for later this month.
