SOUTH KOREA: New Submarine Commissioned

On 29 November, the navy announced that it will commission its latest submarine later this week.  The An Jung Geun, is a 1,800 ton submarine capable of of tracking 300 underwater targets simultaneously and travels at 37 kilometers an hour.  It will be equipped a range of torpedoes and anti-ship guided missiles and is aimed at increasing the country's naval defense.
