CHINA: Explosion in Shaanxi Province

On 24 October, a prefabricated house exploded in the town of Xinmin, located in Shaanxi Province, killing at least 14, injuring 147, and causing damage to the surrounding buildings and local hospital. Initial police investigations claimed the blast was caused by illegally stored explosives, leading to the detainment of the building’s owner and a search for the room’s tenant.
